When will we receive our images?
I ask for up to 12 weeks to deliver a full wedding gallery. For any type of portrait session, I ask for up to 3 weeks. I am known for a quick turnaround time, so I like to get your photos back to you ASAP. Need your photos done in a specific amount of time? No problem. I now offer "rush fees" so you can get your photos right away.
I have the cutest dog ever. Can I bring him to our session?
Absolutely! Pets are encouraged at every single session. I always recommend having a friend come that can keep your dog busy when we are done with them.
What if my child won't sit still, or is tired/cranky the day of the session?
As a parent myself, I know how kids can be. During the planning process, we'll work together to plan your session around naptimes, during your child's most cheerful time of day. Rest assured, if your kid is having a really off day, it's okay to just give me a call so we discuss rescheduling options. If you're concerned about your child sitting still, don't be! We love working with wiggleworms, and have tricks for handling all that glorious energy that comes with being a kid.
What if the weather is bad the day of my outdoor session?
If you're planning a location session, it's natural to think about inclement weather. In general, if the weather is bad, we will reschedule (or decide on an alternate/indoor location).

Northern Kentucky. Tri-state area.
How soon should I schedule my session?
I recommended reserving your session as soon as possible, as I accept a limited number of sessions weekly. During peak seasons, my clients often schedule several months ahead of time. Depending on your schedule and mine, we may be able to fit in something on short notice, and I do typically reserve time in my schedule for less predictable things like headshots and newborn sessions.
What type of photography do you specialize in?
I focus on weddings, senior sessions, nature, scenery, pets, and event photography. I also offer photography services tailored to motorcycles and lifestyle shoots.
Do you photograph events?
Yes! I capture weddings, parties, nonprofit events, and community gatherings. I also offer photo booth rentals for events, complete with a custom event overlay.
Can I choose the location for my photoshoot?
Absolutely! I love photographing at beautiful spots like Gorman Farms, Evans Orchard, and Devou Park, but I’m always open to new locations and travel options.
Do you offer digital or printed photos?
Both! Clients receive a private online gallery with high-resolution digital images, and professional-quality prints can be ordered directly from my gallery store. All images are stored for up to 1 year
Who owns the rights to the photos?
As the photographer, I retain the copyright to all images, but clients receive personal usage rights for printing and sharing. Please do not alter or apply filters to the photos. When sharing on social media, I kindly ask that you credit/tag Melissa McQueen Media Photography.
How much does a session or event cost?
Pricing varies based on the type of session or event. Portrait and senior sessions start at an affordable introductory rate, and event photography are custom quoted based on time, location, and needs. Photo booth rentals are available at special pricing through November 1. Please reach out for a personalized quote.
